WHO WE ARE

Since 2005, Oasis Mozambique has been delivering broad and holistic services focused on inclusion and long-term community engagement, believing that sustainable change is best achieved through deep, relational work.Aligned with the mandate of the global Oasis network, Oasis Mozambique has developed a governance structure that:i) facilitates community ownership, andii) provides infrastructure and support to go further and deeper with the individuals and communities we serve.

Oasis Mozambique is currently active across five provinces:Cabo Delgado, Tete, Sofala, Manica, and Maputo.

Our Key Focus Areas

🏥 Health

We align our efforts with national government priorities to address:HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malariaSexual and reproductive healthWater, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH)Referral support for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV)Provision of psychosocial care.

🌾 Livelihoods

We support individual and family stability through:Community-based economic empowerment activitiesConservation farmingSmall businesses and income-generating projectsInclusive social enterprises within communities

We empower young people as peer facilitators to:Promote adolescent healthSupport HIV care and treatment adherenceEngage in social dialogueParticipate in the READY+ movement (Resilient and Empowered Adolescents and Youth), supporting sexual and reproductive health and rights through our “Football for Life” sport-based program

🌱 Trauma-Aware Climate Response and Recovery

We work with communities, staff, and volunteers affected by climate-related threats by:Delivering trauma-informed care and post-trauma interventionsFacilitating sustainable preparedness planningBuilding authentic mental and economic resilience through community-led trauma trainings and mindfulness practices

🚫 Combating Human Trafficking

We implement transit monitoring to identify and intercept victims at major transit points, run awareness and advocacy campaigns to prevent trafficking, and support recovery through livelihood-strengthening activities.
